Kathleen Mulhern teaches courses in world history, European history, and history of Christianity. She has taught at Denver Seminary, Colorado School of Mines, and Regis University. She particularly focuses on the historical roots of the political, economic, religious, and cultural systems that have contributed to contemporary society.

Her research interests include: Modern European intellectual history, Christian history, Roman Catholic history, Pascalian spirituality, history of science, and the relationship between science and faith.
Mulhern earned a masters degree in French Literature from the University of Denver, and a masters degree in Church History from the Denver Seminary. She holds a doctorate degree in History from the University of Colorado.
