Beyond Cancerland: Dreams and Female Intuition

Beyond Cancerland: Dreams and Female Intuition October 11, 2018

You may have heard of Alice’s adventures in Wonderland.  Well, as a three-time breast cancer survivor whose Divine dreams diagnosed what the medical community and the tests on which they relied missed each time, I embarked on a similar journey when I fell down the rabbit hole of CANCERLAND

If you or someone you love has been diagnosed with cancer, the good news is cancer is no longer a death sentence. In fact, according to Web MD, it is quite treatable, even in the advanced stages. One of the most important parts of my cancer treatment was working with my dreams and female intuition for a healing bigger than the sum of its individual parts.

What is CANCERLAND?  Think of it as the intellectual, emotional and psychic amusement park of cancer treatment where every ride, game, and attraction demonstrates a different aspect of humanity’s complexities and individualism during treatment.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. If you are involved in healing from any illness, but especially cancer, Surviving CANCERLAND will require you to embrace multiple explanations of the way things are in the physical, spiritual, psychic and the dream world of crisis because we are a combination of mind, body, and spirit.

The dreams you may have while Surviving Cancerland could be described as a blend of reality, fantasy, and science. One of the most important things you can do is to be sure to keep a dream journal beside your bed to record any amazing messages you may receive from yourself in the dream realm that may come from deceased loved ones fighting with us in our corner.  Although we may not see deceased loved ones in our waking world, our Sacred Dream Doors can allow access to them.

These dream messages can be an enormous relief when we feel we are all alone.

During my time down the cancer rabbit hole,  I use the allegory of Alice’s travels to make the crucial parts of my treatment and survival more accessible and less frightening because hearing the words, “You have cancer” can almost scare you to death.

The good news is cancer, especially breast cancer, is now very treatable.

Cancer is humbling.  It is guaranteed to knock you down with its series of crises that begin with discovery and continue through treatment, often with no end in sight.  If you are reading this article, the odds are good that you or a loved one has been knocked down by illness and you are searching for answers that include and go beyond scientific facts. I also searched for answers when I found out the hard way that not all cancers are found by conventional medical tests. Intuition can play an important part in discovery and diagnosis. I was caught off-guard but, maybe you can learn from my story.

What I seek to present by writing this article is an alternative to ignoring our intuition in favor of science or ignoring science in favor of intuition.  Why limit ourselves with one when we can use both to our advantage?  The best way to survive any health crisis is to mix intuition and science and then cross-check them against each other for answers that are indisputably correct. Listen, then verify. By respecting both of these different information modalities, we double our chances of finding answers that are correct and possibly life-saving.

It is time to stop ignoring ourselves and discover our voices. You don’t have to be psychic to believe your intuition or inner-voices. In order to effectively battle illness, we must get in touch with our inner-selves and work together toward the goal of survival by using everything available to us. By searching “within” through dreams, meditation or prayer, we will find our own set of answers to any challenge.  No matter how confusing they may seem our dreams are always telling us something important, and they are always on our side.
