"The Bible is a profound book…" Tope Koleoso on taking the Bible literally

At the beginning of a recent gospel sermon Tope Koleoso, the man I am so thankful to God is my pastor,  said the following:

“The Bible is a profound book. Its author is God. Its message is about life, your life, about salvation–that is you being connected back to your maker.  Its doctrines are immutable. Its histories are true…You need to decide at some point how you take the Bible. Do you see its stories as true histories, things that happened., or a few conjectures put together for human moral instruction? Its not that. These things are written that we may know God, that we may know the way of God and the way to God and to live for God, for the glory of God. That’s why we have the Bible . . . These are real places, with real people, this is a real story, with a real lesson.”
