Seven results of exulting in The Lord (1 Sam 2)

Reading 1 Sam 2 it struck me that if we will exult in The Lord there are a number of great results:

  1. He will give you strength
  2. We can be confident over our enemies
  3. We will be full of joy in God
  4. He will be a rock to us
  5. Proud and arrogant speech will be far from our lips
  6. God will raise us up out of the dust
  7. God will guard us

How disaster can lead you back to the LORD
Leaders: Gentleness, not severity, will win you respect and love
Do not rejoice when your enemies fall
King David: As shrewd as a serpent?

Praise God Samuel knew the righteous way, and to serve God. For though Samuel’s righteousness should have shed among his brothers the Goodness of God, it only posed disdain. Perhaps jealousy that Samuel was chosen by God to serve him, and the brothers sinned in return. However I like the 7 results you came up with from that Chapter.
