Reformed minister Vaughn Roberts speaks about being gay as a Christian

Vaughan Roberts is Rector of St Ebbe’s Church, Oxford, here in the UK. He is also the President of the Proclamation Trust.  He is one of the leading figures in the British Reformed Evangelical movement. He also someone who experiences same sex attraction.  He and some of his friends have recently launched a website called Living Out which describes their own experiences of living with gay feelings within the UK Evangelical church.  Those involved in this include Sam Alberry who I have interviewed about his book Is God anti-Gay?

As a sample of the kind of resource available on the new site, here is Vaughn’s contribution. In it he discusses brokenness, friendship and identity, and the challenges we all face as Christians.  I encourage everybody to watch this and visit their website, no matter what your position is on this issue.
