Mark Driscoll in the Washington Post

In an article entitled No 'Best Case' Way to Present God, but Many False Ways, Mark Driscoll has made his debut in the Post: "Christianity is not first and foremost about a sacred place to pilgrimage to, a philosophical system to ponder, a moral code to live, a religious tradition to honor, or an impersonal god to experience. Rather, Christianity is about a person who claimed to be the only God and said he would prove his unprecedented claim by living without sin, dying for sinners, and … [Read more...]

There is a song we have sung many times over the years that expresses the same idea "It's All About You, Jesus". So, when the leadership team couldn't seem to find a fancy "mission statement" for the church, it was decided we would simply use the phrase "It's all about Jesus" wherever … [Read more...]

Free Book Challenge – Why I Love the Church

I love the local church. More specifically I love our local church, Jubilee. It acts as a channel of God's blessings to me. I feel his presence in our meetings. I enjoy worshipping God there. I learn more about him, and his gospel, and how to live in the light of that wondrous news. I have many many great friends, and I and my family feel truly at home.
