There’s a moment in any relationship that I dread. I can feel it there on the horizon, like a itch just under my skin. At first, any relationship is great because we’re meeting one another, getting to know each other, finding our points of connection and commonality, and there’s such a joy in that. It’s that amazing shivery rush of, “I’m not alone out there,” and, “Wow! You get me!” But that only lasts until things become real.
