The Death Dream

The Death Dream May 22, 2017

allthatI’m often asked to interpret dreams, visits, signs, and the meaning of re-occurring numbers. I probably receive a dozen or so requests every single day. As much as I can and I love doing it, it requires being in a special meditative place and calling on the energy. It’s sort of like asking a plumber to talk you through you fixing your busted pipe. As much as I’m sure the plumber would love to help, his/her schedule is full of paying clients and when he/she gets home and browses social media and sits on the couch to watch television or spends time with family, he/she probably doesn’t have the energy to be ‘plumber’ all of the time. Well, you get the point. However one of the most frequent dreams that I’m asked about, because it scares people, is the death dream.

We receive these gut instincts in both waking and dream states, but it is when we are sleeping that we are more open to seeing, hearing, feeling, and experiencing. Death dreams are normal, common, and can be extremely frightening.

Some INTERPRETATIONS:

Betrayal: Sometimes the messages is about feeling betrayed by the person you see die in your dream (this could be yourself, as well).

Fear:
Sometimes the message is about being afraid to move forward in life and is a reminder to foster the relationship with yourself.

Trust:
Sometimes the message is that you aren’t trusting a situation or a person.

Stress: Sometimes the message is that you are just plain stressed out.

Loss:
Sometimes the message is that you are afraid to lose a person, or feel like you are emotionally losing that person in your life.

Transformation:
Sometimes the message is about an upcoming transformation that you will be making. This requires major change in your life, and possibly the lives of others.

Premonition
Sometimes the death message is a premonition, although much more rare. As in, very very rare.

Passed Person:
If you see someone in your dream that has passed, and the dream is vivid and healing, this may be a visit from them.

If you see someone that’s already passed pass again in your dream, it’s a sign of deep missing.

Death dreams, just as in Tarot with the Death card, ^often^ represents changes happening in the dreamers life, no matter who the dreamer sees dying.  Change is scary and requires making room for the new. These dreams can be scary and leave you fearful in your waking state. Old habits die hard, but they simply must die if any real change is going to occur.

So if you’ve had a death/dying dream, look at what’s going on in your current waking state. Has there been a lot of stress, change, fear, negativity? Have you been avoiding making changes? I believe that the dreamer is the best interpreter because it is the dreamer who knows what’s going on in one’s life. But if you have a busted pipe, you might want to get on a plumbers schedule instead of fixing it yourself. 🙂
