Thousands of local and state races are being decided on Nov. 8, as well as referendums, initiatives and bond issues across the United States. While much of the Muslim communities’ focus has been on the headline-grabbing presidential juggernaut between Republican candidate Donald J. Trump and Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, several of these local races are equally important for American Muslims to watch and vote.

In this last part of Altmuslim’s four-part 2016 election series, we asked EmergeUSA as well as MPAC’s Ryan Ahari to identify key local elections American Muslims should be aware of and voting in, if they live in that area. Even if you’re not in any of these states or localities, these are elections to watch in the last days leading up to Nov. 8th.
