There are a number of interviews with Robert Orlando available on the web and at least one article written by him as well. He’s definitely taking the position that the Jesus of Christian worship was a distinctly Pauline creation, born out of Paul’s Hellenized/Jewish worldview. And that Paul’s interpretation of the meaning of Jesus’ life and death was very different than the Law centered and more traditionally Jewish teaching of Jesus. In other words, as the early church became increasingly gentile after the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans, James, Peter and the boys lost the bet and Paul’s vision took root, establishing a bastardized Gospel with a Greco/Roman slant!
