It occurred to me along the way that Protestants do a pretty poor job of understanding the sacraments and their roles in Christian life, so I wrote a series of books on baptism, the Lord’s Supper and the Word of God. Baylor did a terrific job on the covers, editing etc. The book on baptism shows at some length what a theology of baptism ought to look like, and why baptism is an initiation not a confirmation rite. The Lord’s Supper book argues at length not only that the earliest Christians took this meal in the context of a real meal, but furthermore, they saw it as a real means of grace. meal

Finally there is a detailed study of the Living Word of God, which means both Christ, and the living proclamation of God’s Word, and of course the Bible itself. dead
