Nova Scotia– Part Five

When I came to Wolfville, I must admit, I did not expect it to be not much different in size and design from Wilmore Kentucky— but it isn’t. Like Wilmore, it is a town, when the students are there, of about 6,000 people, and like Wilmore it has exactly two main streets, one of which Acadia University, once Acadia Baptist College, is on. The town is full of beautiful little cottages that could be founded in any little New England town,

But what dominates the landscape is the University, with its huge chapel, and right next to it the large Baptist Church.

Sadly, I must tell you that Acadia, like many Christian colleges in America, has basically become a secular school, except that it still has its fine Divinity College which is even further up the hill than that chapel.

The quaint little main street in Wolfville has several excellent restaurants for tourists and locals, one of which is the Library Pub (i.e. a Library turned into a Pub) and here it is—-
