CKB Quote of the Day— On Human Nature January 13, 2017

CK-Barrett--007

The situation we have to deal with, when we confront the situation in which human nature exists, is not rightly thought of as parallel to that of a bud which has to be developed, so that we may hope to watch the human race, as a school of Christian teachers think they can watch children open like flowers to the sun (why not like a cabbage, said a friend of mine). The real situation would be more aptly compared to the Gadarene swine rushing to the precipice. There was only one thing that could save the Gadarene swine, and it was not that more little pigs should grow up to be big pigs. The only thing that would have saved them would have been for them all to turn around and go in the opposite direction. And that is what this generation needs to do.
