A Few Thoughts about Rick Santorum Suspending His Campaign

Just now, Rick Santorum suspended his Presidential campaign, after a weekend at the hospital with his three year old daughter Bella. As you probably are aware, Bella was born with Trisomy 18 — a genetic disorder similar to Down syndrome that’s caused her short life to be an ongoing battle.

No matter who you support for President in 2012, you have to admire how Sen. Santorum champions life – he fights for it in Washington and he fights for it in his own home, day after day.

As he suspends his 309 day campaign, let’s honor his pro-life conviction by watching this touching campaign video. No, he doesn’t have a campaign anymore, but we’ll never stop the fight for life.

More people should put their families first, like Mr. Santorum did. I respect his decision and wish him and his family the best.

    Hey Bristol,

We need your help. Can you please talk to your mom and tell her how much America wants and needs her to step into the 2012 Presidential race? I am a member of Sarah Palin’s Earthquake. We have worked so hard for her to keep her name out there in case she truly did have a plan that would allow her to be a candidate in this race without actually being ‘out there’ exposed to the LSM and their vile attacks. With Santorum out, the conservative base has no voice now. More than ever, America needs Sarah Palin. Please speak to her on our behalf. We don’t truly know what she wants us to do. She said ‘no’…but did ‘no’ really mean ‘no’? We don’t want to believe that. She has the answers and the vision that America needs at this time. I truly believe we cannot survive another four years of Obama and do not believe any of our GOP candidates can beat him. Before 2008, I paid no attention to politics. THEN CAME SARAH! She was so captivating. She spoke about the things we believed in…had the same values our parents had instilled in us and that we try to teach our children. She was passionate, fiery, truthful, beautiful…full of life. We fell in love with her and the romance still continues today. But it isn’t infatuation we have for your mom…It is admiration, devotion, respect, loyalty…We will (and have) stood through the fire with her. We will be behind her every step of the way. Please convey this to her. America needs her. Thanks Bristol.

America is a house divided: 25% conservative, 25% left and 50% moderates. These numbers explain why conservative candidates like Rick Santorum and Sarah Palin will never win the election. They won’t get the votes of the moderates, even not the votes of moderate Republicans which they call RINOs. Although Mitt Romney is not perfect, he is by far the best choice. Rep. voters show at the primaries that they understand this.

Thanks for posting, Bristol. We pray for the Lord’s mercy on our nation and His will in these upcoming elections.

Why is it men and women of integrity always face an up hill battle in politics? Whether it is family issues, or character assasinations by those who run from goodness, it is always the same.
On another note, congratulations to Mitt for being the pit bull of the GOP; relentless in his ambition and chewing up any and all who challenged him. He’ll make a great mediocre replacement for our current knucklehead in chief.

Bristol, please ask your mom to jump in. Our beloved nation can not handle four more years of socialism, which is what we will have if either Obama or Oromney gets elected. So many of us have asked her with postcards and Facebook posts to run. If Oromney gets that 1144 delegate number, our nation will be doomed for another four years.
    Thank you so much.

That has got to be one of the cutest and most heartwarming pictures of little Bella and her beaming daddy I’ve seen! A lotta love there.

Rick is a great man and would have been a great President. I think he realized he would rather spend days with his daughter than on the campaign trail for a longer period of time since she was in the hospital again and this time for a longer period of time. Being there for her is more important – family is everything! Rick will be back to fight for our country again
