A Few Thoughts about Rick Santorum Suspending His Campaign

Just now, Rick Santorum suspended his Presidential campaign, after a weekend at the hospital with his three year old daughter Bella. As you probably are aware, Bella was born with Trisomy 18 — a genetic disorder similar to Down syndrome that’s caused her short life to be an ongoing battle.

No matter who you support for President in 2012, you have to admire how Sen. Santorum champions life – he fights for it in Washington and he fights for it in his own home, day after day.

As he suspends his 309 day campaign, let’s honor his pro-life conviction by watching this touching campaign video. No, he doesn’t have a campaign anymore, but we’ll never stop the fight for life.

    Bristol,
Buy a grammar book and use it. The constant errors are distracting.

I agree! He would be my pick for President. He seems like a wonderful God Loving Man. It seems to me that the handwriting was on the wall from the very beginning. Just like the liberals the conservatives decided who was going to get this position and it was Romney!! Sad to say for me but I guess better than the alternative. But, I just loved Rick Santorum and his love for God, family and country! He is a wonderful Husband and Father. His dropping out is a loss for us and our country. But, yes maybe in four years!! He is a very young man. I hope our country will still be in tact at that point!!!!

I’m not a Republican nor will I vote for Mitt Romney in November. However, I do want to say that I commend Mr. Rick Santorum as a father – I might disagree with his views, but he seems like a very kind man who has beautiful relationships with his children, especially his daughter Bella. I commend him for putting his family, especially his daughter, before political power.

Bristol, for those of us who supported Senator Santorum from before the Iowa Caucus to the suspension of his campaign one of the many things that attracted us, young and old alike was his steadfast position on the Right to Life. The sad fact that Senator and Mrs. Santorum have lost a child coupled with the medical issues they deal with daily in little Bella they show that they are true champions to the cause. For the life of me I do not understand how this great country of ours has gone from such a God fearing nation to one who reviles anyone who stands up for the cause of life. We see celebrities like Kirk Cameron smeared for daring to believe in life, and I am sure given the position your Mom takes on the issue you have had to read and hear it for years.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have a man like that Lead our country? Maybe someday.
