On Second Thought: Episode 3

“I’ve failed as a mother,” I said to Willow in front of Tripp.  Why did I say that?  Because as much as I try, I’m only one person trying to create a family without a father.  I’ve brought a son into the world who won’t know his dad. [Read more...]

Okay, so by now you’ve seen the footage of my argument with the guy in the bar.  And by now you know I’m being sued over it.  So I probably shouldn’t write much about this encounter right now as my lawyers work on my defense.

I will say this, however.  [Read more...]

On Second Thought: Episode One

So, it’s crazy to see your life unfold on television! Before the premiere of Lifetime’s newest show, “Life’s a Tripp,” I was a little nervous. I’d almost gotten used to the cameras being around back when Mom filmed “Sarah Palin’s Alaska,” but this was different. This was my life. And honestly, I sometimes don’t know what my life will hold. After all, I’m only 21 years old. Where will I end up living? What will I end up doing for a job? What sports will Tripp end up loving? Who will I end up marrying? [Read more...]

Why I Did a Reality TV Show

Welcome new “Life’s a Tripp” fans!

I’m so happy that my new Lifetime reality show called “Life’s a Tripp” has finally debuted!  I hope everyone enjoyed it.  What did you think?

I’ve heard many of you ask a similar question: why did I decide to do a reality television show?  Well, in many ways, I’m just like everyone else.  I’m a young woman trying to make my way in this sometimes complicated world.  I’m a single mom, I work at a dermatology office, and I’m trying to fix up a house I bought near my parents’ house.

You know my parents?  Yes, that’s what makes my life interesting to people. I’m a part of one of America’s most famous – and sometimes controversial – families. [Read more...]

Mike Huckabee, the Scold

Yesterday, I was at Track’s house for his last night in town before he deploys back to Afghanistan. That’s where I got an e-mail explaining that Mike Huckabee had just told his radio audience that he was very disappointed in me. [Read more...]

No, Obama Didn’t Eat Him

Thank you so much for all of the concern about my dog Charlie.  He was missing from Wednesday morning until Saturday night, and my heart almost broke!  Thankfully, Willow and her friends put posters up with her friend’s phone number on them.  They also put photos of him on Craigslist. Though Willow’s friend got a few calls about Charlie, the descriptions never matched.

Finally on Saturday the description was exact.

Thank goodness, we got him back!!

Here’s a photo of Charlie with Tripp and Trig.  Aren’t they all adorable?

Name This Dog: And the Winner Is…

Thank you for all of your advice on what to name the Newfoundland puppy!

As I mentioned, we took your comments and narrowed it down to three names:

Riot

Raider

Clifford

Well, the winning name was….

(Drumroll, please….)

Riot

I think it’s a perfect name for a beautiful puppy!  Thanks for all the comments!

Why I’m Not on Twitter

I’m not on Twitter, but my name is definitely mentioned in Tweets.  For those of you who have read the comments on posts like “Mr. President, When Should I Expect Your Call?” and “Hail to the Chiefs: Malia and Sasha Obama,” you’re familiar with the hate that is thrown my way.  (You know, bullying in the name of tolerance and all.)

However, someone brought Michelle Malkin’s tweet to my attention tonight. She tweeted that it’s Time for a Bristol Palin HateFest on Twitter.

That, my friends, is why I’m not on Twitter. I love talking to you guys on Facebook and on this blog, but that’s as much of an internet presence as I need now.  For those of you who are on Twitter, please feel free to tweet out my posts and to spread some love for me there.

You can tell I need it!

UPDATE: Yes, I know she was pointing out the Twitter hate. Thanks, Michelle Malkin for pointing out the liberal hypocrisy! I appreciate your work!

Praying for Robin Roberts

Though I’m never really excited about being on morning talk shows, I always look forward to seeing Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts. She’s kind, respectful, and her calm manner makes it much more comfortable to be on camera.  She’s the most down to earth celeb I know! When I was in New York, I found out that Robin, a breast cancer survivor, is battling a blood and bone marrow disorder called myelodysplastic syndrome.  This was likely caused by her cancer treatment. Here is her explanation of her situation:

Please join me as I pray that God gives her strength as she goes through “pre-treatment” and her bone marrow transplant.  Also, I’m praying for her complete healing.  We love you, Robin!

So, It Wasn’t Just a Fluke: Exposing Planned Parenthood in New York

Recently, I posted a video taken in Austin, Texas at a Planned Parenthood.  A woman tells the agent that she wants to have an abortion, depending on the gender of the baby.  If it’s a boy, she’ll keep him. If it’s a girl, she’ll abort and try again.  Some have said that this was very rare  – that Planned Parenthood is against gender-selective abortions.  However, here’s Part Two, taken in New York City:

Congratulations, Gov. Walker!

Last night was a reminder that the media doesn’t decide who runs our country, the voters do.  For the past 18 months, the “lamestream media”  has led us to believe a rogue governor has been defying the will of the people.  In fact, the Wisconsin governor was doing the work of the people.  In fact, he was doing exactly what the voters elected him to do.

Last night was one to savor, because a good man doing good things won.

Congratulations, Gov. Walker, and thank you, Wisconsin!

For a little background, this is the dog I got for Gino! He’s a Newfoundland and the biggest puppy I’ve ever seen.  (I think Gino’s getting a glimpse of parenthood…  and no, we aren’t living together!)

So, out of all the names we’ve gotten, I think my favorites are:

Riot

Raider

Clifford (ha!)

What do you guys think of these?  I’ll keep you posted!
