BuzzFeed SHOCKED that famous TV couple are Christians December 2, 2016

The way BuzzFeed attacked HGTV’s Fixer Upper hosts Chip and Joanna Gaines over their Christian faith has been called a “witch hunt” and “dangerous” and I couldn’t agree more.

Reporter Kate Aurthur was shocked to discover that the church the Gaines attend in Texas “is firmly against same-sex marriage” and that its pastor preaches homosexuality is a sin. And then as if all-knowing as God Himself, she assumed they must believe the same way. Of course, whether they do or don’t is none of her business anyway, but that didn’t stop Aurthur from demanding to know if they agreed with their pastor or “would ever feature a same-sex couple on the show” like have appeared on other HGTV shows.

So, she sent her questions to couple’s company and to HGTV but didn’t get a response. And so what was her next step? Go ahead and write the piece without waiting to get an answer. And people wonder why there are so many complaints about fake news!

Even gay people are shocked by the hit-piece. One posted this response on Twitter:

Gay author Brandon Ambrosino wrote a piece for The Washington Post that was one of the most fair and balanced pieces ever to grace its pages in which he called BuzzFeed’s approach “dangerous:”

It is no longer okay — indeed, it never was — to write cutesy articles shaming religious people as homophobic for simply being one of the many millions of Americans in 2016 who attend a religious congregation that does not support same-sex marriage. That is not a good move for activism or journalism.

Cosmopolitan magazine, on the other hand, was on board with BuzzFeed and said the Gaines’s “silence speaks volumes.” The magazine hopes “they speak up about this soon.”

And why is that? So, they can take them down, because that’s what the Left does best: hunt down those that don’t agree, slander them relentlessly, and then demand their utter destruction. It was only the beginning when they took down the little Christian bakery in Oregon. They’re going for the big guns now.
