CNN made horrible accusations about Sarah Palin and now makes jokes about Trump’s plane crashing

The hypocrisy from the mainstream media never ceases to amaze me.

CNN was covering President-elect Donald Trump’s speech at the Carrier plant in Indiana last week, and as the film crew was prepping for the shot before his plane landed, they joked about it crashing over a live mic.

As correspondent Suzanne Malveaux was readying her lead in, her off-camera crew was saying they would give a certain hand signal that Trump’s plane had landed. Then, someone jokes that a different hand gesture would indicate it crashed and they all had a good laugh.

CNN “apologized” for the “inappropriate remark” and ensured “the producer has been disciplined.” Right.

Could you imagine if a Fox News anchor was involved in something like this? The Left would be screaming their heads off for resignations!

Here’s the thing: I’m not saying that telling off-color jokes around your friends or coworkers is a bad thing, it’s just really frustrating coming from a network that has scolded my mom time and time again.

I remember when CNN came down hard on her when she used crosshairs to target areas on a political map where Obamacare needed to be resisted by conservatives. They actually suggested that led to the shooting of former Arizona Rep. Gabby Giffords. CNN said my mom’s map incited violence especially with her use of the phrase, “don’t retreat, reload.”

My mom noted this hypocrisy in a Facebook post a few years ago during a time when CNN was considering bringing its show “Crossfire” back on the air: “CNN, among others, implied that using a ‘crossfire’ icon (which was a tactic first employed by Democrats to illustrate political maps of districts they ‘targeted’ to win) was inciting violence.”

Even better, at the time CNN’s John King issued an on-air apology for a guest that said “crosshairs” in a segment. He said, “We’re trying to get away from using that kind of language.”

Oh, really?

So, my mom using crosshairs got a politician nearly killed, according to CNN, but it’s okay for them to produce a show called Crossfire and joke about Trump’s plane crashing? Now do you see why it’s so hard to trust the media?
