Designer Tom Ford insults Melania Trump, so Donald strikes back at him where it hurts

Designer Tom Ford insults Melania Trump, so Donald strikes back at him where it hurts January 20, 2017

When designer Tom Ford was a guest on The View back in November, he was asked if he would dress incoming First Lady Melania Trump in his fashions. But instead of saying something nice, he said, “Well, she’s not necessarily my image.”

Bad move! Her husband, President-elect Donald Trump, fired back: “[Melania] Never asked Tom Ford, doesn’t like Tom Ford, doesn’t like his designs.”

Trump’s friend and fellow casino mogul Steve Wynn decided Ford’s criticisms went too far and has now decided to remove his products from his Las Vegas property:

Wynn Las Vegas confirms it removed the Tom Ford line of cosmetics and sunglasses from the resort this past weekend.

Ford also said on The View that his clothing line is “too expensive” for a first lady because she would have to “relate to everybody.” But interestingly enough, Ford had no problems dressing First Lady Michelle Obama in 2011 in a custom dress for a dinner with the Queen of England at Buckingham Palace. It cost at least $5,000 and probably was worth over $10,000.

Of that dress for Mrs. Obama, Ford said, “I thought that was appropriate and I was honored.”

But it’s not an honor to do the same for Melania. How tolerant of him.

Well, thankfully, there are other designers out there who would love to dress the next first lady, and as the Daily Mail reports, Melania will be wearing Ralph Lauren for the inauguration while Ford’s products are piled in the dumpster.
