Married Mom Gets Pregnant, Then Abortion Instead of Adoption to Avoid Awkward Conversations

In an article called, “I’m a Married Mom & I’m Getting an Abortion,” a mother or two explains why she got an abortion even though she was already married, financially stable, and had two kids.  She wrote, “When I looked at the pee stick with the positive sign, I didn’t feel any joy. I just felt dread at the thought of going through it all again. I love and adore my kids SO much. But I knew I couldn’t do it again.”

When the interviewer asked her if she considered adoption, she said:

No. Adoption doesn’t solve the problem of having to survive being pregnant when you don’t want to be and are likely to be sick as a dog the whole time. It also would have been really confusing for the kids, I think, and, honestly, awkward as hell to explain to people.

I bet that would be a slightly awkward conversation.  “Hey mom, where’s my sister?”

“I didn’t want her, honey,” so I had a doctor dismantle her and suck her out of my womb. This is the most selfish thing I’ve ever read. (Read it all here.)
