Family News

At an ultrasound yesterday I learned that I am pregnant with my 5th son! I have to say that never in my life would I have imagined that I would be the mother of 5 boys. I think I am going to go buy a basketball hoop!

Everything looks healthy, and while my daughters and I will admit to hoping for a girl, our toddler boys are so loveable that it is impossible to be disappointed for long.

I have completely settled on a name, so as soon as my husband agrees to it we will let you know :)

MA, this is joyful news. u00a0Congratulations to you and Mr. MA! u00a0Your younger three men are going to be quite the troupe, with the older boys serving as wonderful examples. u00a0The girls will help keep everyone organized. u00a0Love it!

You know what’s so great about that basketball analogy–every basketball teams needs a sixth man, so there’s room for even one more boy!nnCongratulations again!

MaryAlice, wonderful beautiful news. I think little boys are such a handful, much more than little girls, but God must be up to something wonderful giving all these boys to his most beloved families. There really is a crisis in the lack of priestly vocations and of strong, holy men–thank you and the other boy-heavy families for giving us hope!

    Congratulations!

Oh, really, MA, I always thought your pearl stud earrings made you such the tomboy-mom! Ha. Any child is lucky to land in your family, but I agree with JM, our culture needs strong men in particular. Congratulations

Seriously, I am begging the Lord to grant a priestly vocation to one (or more) of these guys. u00a0I would like my 50th wedding anniversary mass to be said by one of my sons!n

BTW, my husband took too long to weigh in on a name this time and I had to inform him the decision had been made because I had already started calling him his name in my head! I hope Mr. MA likes the name you have!
