Changes

Dear readers ~

You have probably noticed some changes at Patheos (and therefore, at Building Cathedrals) over the past week. We simply wanted you to know that we do not have any control over, nor do we endorse, the advertisements or the links that are posted in the sidebar. We hope that you are still able to focus on the content of our posts – thanks for bearing with us during this time of transition!

Blessings,
Katrina and the Building Cathedrals team

I have to remove you from my reader. I do not bother with blogs which require clicking through to read entire posts. One would think a “mommy” blog with writers who all have multiple children would make it easy to read and follow.

      Hi Jody ~
I’m sorry to hear that, but I promise you that we try to make our site as reader-friendly and accessible as possible. I’m sorry that it’s not working for you right now – maybe you can come back again in the future when you have more time.

Jody, most of the blogs/newspapers I subscribe to require me to click through. It is the only way for them to get an accurate count of their readership. And I’m not sure how pressing one button, one click, makes our blog difficult to follow?

I have not noticed the changes. Perhaps because I am so new? Maybe they were already in place? Either way, I enjoy reading your posts and have not found anything so disturbing as to not return.

Many blessings to all of you. Thank you for sharing your lives. You are an inspiration.

      Suzi,
I just clicked through to your blog, and I can’t wait to read more about your adventures! What a beautiful family you have. A good homeschooling friend of mine is on the road for 6+ weeks with her 7 children, I know that won’t compare to the several years you have planned, but she might have some words of wisdom. She is a fly by the seat of your pants girl and you may have a lot in common.

Here is her blog about the trip:

and let me know if you would like more direct contact info!

I am so glad you have found us!

I’m also oblivious to the changes. But you guys as always handle it well. I went and looked at your statement above the links. I think that provides clarity. I also feel like the upside of being on Patheos outweighs these issues. I’m loving the new site, the new layout, and I have actually poked around at a few other places on Patheos in general and found it thought provoking. So thanks!

Other than the new patheos bar at the top, I am also oblivious to the changes, in large part because I have adblocker in place, which is a free software which does just what it says and also makes things much quicker to load on my pc.
On my phone, I read on the mobile version of the site, and I love that! It is so quick and easy to use, or just to skip to comments on posts I have already read. To me, that is one of the big tech advantages of being at Patheos, because we did not have a mobile site set up before this.
