Portland Details are Coming Together

If you live in or near Portland or can easily get there, I’m excited to announce my first event in the great northwest, sponsored by the Institute for Progressive Spirituality. Exact locations are still TBD, but these events will occur in or near Portland, OR:

  • Friday, October 29, 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM: An evening talk on “The Underlying Stream of Mysticism in the Christian Tradition”
  • Saturday, October 30, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM: “Christian Mysticism and Contemplative Spirituality”
    • Morning Address by Carl McColman with response by a guest panel
    • Optional communal lunch
    • Afternoon group interaction and contemplative practice

Cost for the Friday evening presentation will by $15.00; for the Saturday event will be $40.00, or participate in both for $50.00. The optional lunch on Saturday is $7.50. Exact location will be announced soon (and times may change depending on location).

To register online, visit the IPS Website or mail a check payable to IPS to:

I’ll actually be arriving in Portland on Thursday and staying through Sunday, so we’re hoping to arrange a few more events, including a casual Thursday evening event, and hopefully preaching Sunday morning and possibly another church event Sunday evening. All those details will be announced here as they come together.

Ahhh…that is my home town! I live in Georgia now. I sure wish I could make a trip out there to visit and to hear you. When everything is firmed up, I will spread the word with my Portland friends via FB. Blessings, Kim

Oh wow! Not too far for me to travel, just an hour south. Is there a mailing list I could get on so I won’t miss this?
