Oops! My Apologies…

If you are a subscriber to this blog, you may have received twenty or so emails from the blog this afternoon — all for blog posts that have already been posted.

If so, please accept my apologies!

I was tinkering with the privacy settings in the blog, not realizing that doing so would trigger a round of emails to the blog subscribers. As soon as I realized what was happening, I stopped tinkering. But by then the damage was done.

As you delete all those unwanted messages in your inbox, I hope you will consider that your annoyance is more than matched by my embarrassment! And I beg your forgiveness (and understanding).

Perhaps you can delete all those messages as a mindfulness exercise?  :-)

Bless your good heart. If I had to get a raft of emails today, I’m glad that they were from you. :)

Hey, no worries! Happens to the best of us at times. Gave us all a chance to review before we hit delete..just to make sure we had read them all!

  • Bill Kreider

I love the cat. I have so felt that way at times!

  • Nancy

Oops is right! So cute. Love your embarrassed kitty. Glad you weren’t tinkering with your house plumbing!

    • Carl McColman

Yeah, me too. If I were, the results would have been even more disastrous.

  • ellen granum

dear carl, we all make mistakes! it was a bit of a surprise especially as i have been having some problems with my email. take care, ellen g.

As the Scots say: “Dinna fash thyself…”. I was just jealous that you have written so much and was actually looking forward to reading them.

By the way, did you know that is our cat Daphne who is looking so embrassed–seriously, a perfect twin if I ever saw one.

    • Carl McColman

“Embarrassed kitty” also looks like our girl Margery.

No worries Carl. It’s always good to hear from you 8-)

  • DavidFromDenver

“Privacy Settings”, eh? Hope it wasn’t any of that “niche stuff” like “Contemplatives in Vegas Rolling in Silver Dollars in Front of the Slots”, “Contemplatives in Mosh Pit at Amy Grant Concert”, or “Contemplatives Eating Georgia BBQ with Grease on Faces?”

Really enjoying your recommendation of The Origins of Christian Mystical – good news is loved stuff on Origen – bad news is loved stuff on Augustine, so am bouncing around

    • Carl McColman

All of the articles you mentioned were already set to private. So no worries there. ;-)

  • Cathy

No problem at all. As someone else commented, there’s no one I’d rather get multiple emails from!

  • Pam

No worries! Actually, glad to have them all again!

  • Juanita Havill

Not to worry, Carl. All of your posts were worth re-reading.

  • http://bobholmes.blogspot.com Bob Holmes

I did try to clean my screen with your new background. It looks like it fell on the floor and somebody stepped on it;-)

    • Carl McColman

Actually, I wanted it to have more of a “parchment” look. But I might be changing themes in the near future, so you won’t have to put up with this “walked-all-over” look for long!

  • Mike Dempsey

Ha ha! No worries Carl, if anything your “error” and subsequent apology only serves to endear you to us, to remind us you are indeed one of us in the trenches who al unknowingly make mistakes from time to time!

I thought your apology was well done. I have switched my email address and so only occasionally look at the old one as it gets hundreds of spam every day.

It helped in reminding me how I valued looking at your posts and so have included

my new email address so as to receive your posts again.

    Yours Peter G Kimble

Ps Keep up the good work
