Upcoming events

I've got a lot of wonderful events coming up this fall. They're pretty much all in the Metro Atlanta area or nearby — between writing my new book and wanting to be available in case my daughter has a medical emergency, I'm trying to limit the amount of travel I'm doing for now. But if you do happen to live in the vicinity, I hope I'll see you at one of these events: September 4, 2011: Decatur Book Festival. This is my first (hopefully of many) appearances at this premier literary event, and I … [Read more...]

If you're in the area, I hope I'll see you at one or more of these events. October 28, 2010; 7:00 PM — "Celtic … [Read more...]

November 1…

November 1 is the date that Wild Goose Festival tickets go on sale. It's my understanding that there will be "early bird" (pardon the pun) pricing, that won't last long. Here's the word from the goose itself: We are excited to announce that Wild Goose Festival tickets will go on sale November 1st. Stay tuned between now … [Read more...]

A Few More Hints About the New Book…

My new book has been endorsed by James Martin, S.J., author of The Jesuit Guide to (Almost) Everything and My Life With the Saints. I don't want to release the entire endorsement, as that would give away too much about the book. But in part, Fr. Martin says, By turns playful, provocative and profound, McColman asks us to "become like little children" in order to understand some very adult lessons. If and when we get any more endorsements of the book, I'll post them here, so stay tuned. Oh, … [Read more...]
