CBB Review: Discover Your Next Mission From God

Review by Michele Craig“For our entire lives, we’ve been conditioned to make decisions based on what we want,  and it goes against our grain to relinquish control to anyone, even to God.  It seems as if to do so would require us to give up our freedom.  But the opposite is true:  we are most free and most human when we are squarely in God’s will.”“Perhaps we have messed up God’s plan for us.  It could be that God had a certain job in mind for us that would use our abilities and talents to … [Read more...]

CBB Review: Becoming a Parish of Intentional Disciples

Review by Michele CraigSherry Weddell begins with a Catholic history lesson- refreshing our memory of war torn, anti-Catholic France in the 1600’s- reminding us how a handful of “intentional disciples” renewed the Church of their day. “As a group, they were remarkable for their diversity. Thousands were actively involved in the renewal, but the major figures included a cardinal, a bishop, three priests (including one who had grown up a peasant and spent time as a slave), two young widows with … [Read more...]

CBB Review: Forming Intentional Disciples

Review by Michele CraigI recently facilitated a book study at my parish using Sherry A. CBB Review: RISEN

Risen is an epic film that is a pure joy to watch. From the stunning visuals of Jerusalem to the countryside journey to Galilee the producers of this film put great effort in creating visually accurate sets. The visuals were not as important as the story and after watching the film I can attest that the story is solid, believable and well written. The movie picks up immediately after the resurrection of Christ. Roman tribune Clavius is summoned by Pontius Pilate. As the movie unfolds you … [Read more...]
