I Don't Know How She Does It: The Danger of Self-Directed Parenting

Here’s a snapshot from my life. I stand smiling, toddler on hip, with the sun streaming through my kitchen windows. I adeptly flip pancakes one-handed, and glide over to my impeccably dressed husband as he swoops in for a good morning kiss.
