3 Prayers For Students And Schools

3 Prayers For Students And Schools November 24, 2015

Here are three prayers that you can use for your child in their public or private school.

Prayer of Protection

My God in Heaven, o Righteous Father, please put your hedge of protection over my child/children today and to watch over those who mean them harm. I know that sometimes people can be cruel and hurt them with words so I pray that they are kept from embarrassing situations and from being publically humiliated by what others do or say. Help them get to and back from school safely and return back home. Today we don’t know when or where the next violent school event will happen and I pray that those who seek to hurt others will be found out by the authorities so that the students in the school can be kept from harm. It is in the strong name of Jesus Christ that I pray.

Prayer of Providence

Father God, You alone know the future. You can determine where my child/children will be and with whom and so I pray that my child/children will be placed before other students who are going to help them and not lead them into trouble, with teachers who will tell them what is most beneficial to them, and that they are prepared for what’s ahead of them for today. Let them think of You and Your divine, sacrificial love for them when they are stressed and that You are with them wherever they go today, always and forever. I know that all things that will happen today will work out for their very best (Rom 8:28) and even the bad can be turned to good (Gen 50:20) so thank You for what You have already done in my child/children’s lives, for what You are doing, and finally, for what blessings are yet ahead of them and for that I am so thankful and in His glorious name, Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.

Prayer of Blessing

God Almighty, please bless the staff of the school where my child/children attend. Please help the staff in their duties today so that they might be more productive and be able to help the school function better for the benefit of the children. I pray for and thank God for the teachers, administrators, the paras, the food service workers, and the janitor. Help them to know what to do at the proper time and with those children who are more tender-hearted and to help the staff work with them with more understanding and patience. I know that I am to train up my child in Your ways here at home and so I pray that these things that’ve been taught my child/children will help them to show respect for the school staff and to walk in obedience in the school’s rules and regulations. I am so grateful for public/private schools having greater security and as a parent/grandparent, this gives me more peace of mind so in all these things, I give you thanks and praise and in the name of the King of kings and Lord of lords, Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.

Conclusion

I hope these prayers can be of help to you because it seems that school violence is so much worse today than it was just a few years ago. The unpredictability of students makes it a more dangerous world for students today just as it is more dangerous in the world for adults who are the parents and caregivers. Pray for your children but before that, train them up in the way that they should go and then go there yourself!
