Daily Update: October 17

It’s Friday! Today is the day I officially take off from housekeeping, laundry and cleaning and do whatever I want. Some people would ask, isn’t that what Saturday and Sunday are for? If you have 3 kids – heck no! There is feeding kids and running them to and fro and weekend homework and making sure clothes are clean for Monday for school, etc. etc.

So I take Fridays off and do whatever the heck I want. Sometimes it amounts to sitting in the tub all day for an hour or two with my book. Sometimes it’s doing crafty things. Sometimes it’s watching all those tivoed Grizzly Man Diaries (or Destination Truth, or Ghost Hunters!).

Today I’m going to play with all my craft stuff. I have so many ideas running through my head lately, and I’m dying to try them out. Of course, you guys will only see what works out, lol!

On the home front – Joe cleared up his cold, now my oldest has it. He stayed home yesterday, but is back to school today. Not that he’s feeling 100% better, but he knows if he stays home today, he’s stuck at home all evening!

Maddy is running for 4th grade student council. She’s such a little go getter. She really wants it, so I hope if she’s not elected, she won’t be too disappointed. She’s in the last group of 8 kids that are running (down from the original group of 20 or so). She’s got her speech all ready to convince the kids to vote for her. It’s all about honesty and representing her class instead of just her ideas. I think I might vote for her for president…

Oh, I wish your daughter all the best in her speech, hope everything goes alright for her! It’s been months since Lucas had a severe cold time, six months since he last took antibiotics, which is a miracle thnaks to his grandpa’s honey! Hope your kids get better soon, no one deserves to be stuck at home feeling bad…My day off is Sunday. Saturday is cleaning day and all that comes with it, but on Sunday I like to be free so I can be lazy! I was also planning to make my crafts this weekend, but it’s my brother’s b-day and we’ll probably go to my mom’s place, if this stupid migraine allows me, I mean…Take care!Kisses from Nydia.

Nydia, I haven’t got anything done today – I’ve caught your headache, lol!Anne, on the side bar, just click on “Follow this blog” and follow the directions. Easy Peasey! Thanks for the well wishes for Maddy! I hope she wins, too! I’ve tried to enforce to her that it’s not a big deal if she doesn’t, that there is always next year, blah, blah – I don’t want her to get upset if she doesn’t get elected. Deep down, I really want her to win!

Oh, I’m sory that I passed my migraine to you! LOL Seriously, I’m sorry you’re not 100%. Hope it is not as bad as mine is, I spent the whole eek dealing with this going up and down!I don’t remember, but I think I’ve never been cass’s president, I don’t think I ever tried to be! She’s courageous to try, this is already a big thing.

  5. Glad the boys are back in school, even though your older boy isn’t feeling 100%. I’m quite lucky. My son has never been sick. I hope it stays that way! He has his heart set on perfect attendance this year.Good luck to Maddie!

Hope your day is fun! Sorry you’ve got a headache. Something always has to go wrong on a day off, huh? Good luck to Maddy! I ran for a class office two years, and lost both times. I didn’t really care though. It sounds like she’d be good on student council!
