A Meme for the Front Pages

I was tagged by Vixens Den to join the Pink Sisterhood. It is very important that women who cannot afford mammograms still get them.

I’m happy to participate in this meme. A few years ago, I had a mammogram come out wonky. After a needle apsiration (ouch!), I had to have a biopsy. While the growth was benign, it did contain altered cells, which my surgeon said would have developed into something more if they had been left alone. They scraped the area of the growth out well and now I have mammograms every 6 months for the rest of my life. My surgeon told me right up front, that with the altered cells like that, I am a very high risk for future breast cancer. Thankfully, we have medical insurance that pays for these mammograms and anything I might need in the future. If something crops up, it will very likely be caught early.

Let’s help save lives, by visiting The Breast Cancer Site. By simply clicking once a day, three mammograms per click will be funded for people in need. Do it for yourself, do it for your wife, do it for your friends, do it for children who need their mothers to be healthy.

Yeah for tagging more than 7! It really is important for all women to get mammograms. I too have had two abnormal mammos (since my grandmother had her mastectomy) which were very, very frightening considering her medical history. Thanks for helping to spread the word.

I just displayed the logo at my sidebar, and asap I’ll tag some friends. It’s so important to spread information about it. I also had a painful needle aspiration for a biopsy and had a benign tumor removed from my rght breast twenty years ago. Every year I have my mommgraphy just to be sure everything is ok.
