Okeedokey! Finally up and running after my fall. Still a little creeky, but much better! Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and good wishes while I was down! It meant so much to me!
Yesterday I took my oldest to the doctor for a sore throat….and he’s got strep throat! I’m thinking of locking him in his room while spraying the rest of the house with Lysol, lol! I so don’t want to catch it. It was caught really early (come to find out, the girl he’s been seeing just got over strep….. hmmmmm), so he’s not feeling that bad, and with the meds, he’ll be fine.
Did anyone watch the VMA’s last night? Did you see the red thing that they interviewed people at before the show? The thing with all the lights? Yeah, Mr.B. helped built that! We watched he pre-show to get to see it – and when a member of Green Day jumped up on it, he was yelling “Get off of that!!” to the tv, lol! It was not built for standing on. Pretty cool to see his work like that, though. And as he worked on it ALL DAY Saturday, that piece of set garnered him some sweet overtime money!
Blog wise, there is SO much going on! I have a ton of reviews that I need to get up and running, some with giveaways attached, so please bear with me as I chug through them in the next couple of weeks (and if you’d click a link or two, that would be great, too ;O) I’d like to get them all up and done before October hits, so that we can have all Halloween, all month!
In kind-of-cool news, my blog entry for my vacation in St. Thomas was linked to at The Blog of Kevin Dolgin, a news blog that is “focused on bringing ou news about intelligent travel commentary on the Internet”. I thought that was pretty spiffy! Thanks, Pat, for letting me know!
Tomorrow is the deadline for joining in on the 31 Days of Halloween, so if you haven’t signed up yet, better get to it! There is still plenty of room for more people on the Haunted Walking Tour and for guest bloggers! And no, it doesn’t have to be a long involved post nor does it have to be anything fancy! I’d still love to have someone do something on Halloween superstitions if anyone is interested but doesn’t know what to write about! A quick post about why people avoid black cats or maybe something on the number 13 or the like would be great! Just shoot me a message if you’re interested.
And here’s a little preview of what I was working on this weekend!

Oh, what a fantastically fiendish plant!! It's awesome. I'll be emailing you a photo of my giveaway prize late today or tomorrow (with all the appropriate links attached!), I just need to finish painting it.
We usually stay home & pass out candy to the local kids. But since Halloween falls on a Saturday this year I think we'll finally attend one of those parties we're always getting invited to
I'm sure whatever we end up doing we'll have a blast. We LOVE halloween!
OMG, I love that plant!! I'm glad you are feeling better…and I'm sorry for the strep going around
Everyone but my hubby got it here at my house in July. I couldn't eat for a week before I dragged myself to the doc to get meds. I got it worse than the kids did.WOO HOO to your hubby and his high profile work
Nice to be able to see something on TV and say "yeah, I did that!"
ok went to that post to post, but wasnt postable so posted my post here
I will be giving a big Halloween party on the 31st. Wanna come?? can send you home with more horseradish
I would also like to do the entry on halloween superstitions! I am fascinated with superstitions.
Good to have you back. You don't seem to cranky, although the strep would have me wishing to do the same thing. I hate the way illness comes in with one and won't leave until we all get it!
That plant is so wickedly perfect. Congrats on your followers! Here is to the next 400.
That is so cool seeing Mr. B's handiwork on TV like that – and the OT money is bonus
Ooo, the eyeballs are cool! I'm so glad you're up and at 'em again. You step lightly from now on, young lady.
You and your family have been through the ringer! I'm so sorry to hear that you are all struggling with health/injury crap. Bummer.Speaking of which, I am STILL under the weather so if tomorrow is the deadline I think the safest thing for me to do is pass this year on submitting my special treat. I'm actually seeing the doctor, I feel that bad, LOL. Ugh. Who knows when I will feel better, this stomach flu is lasting forever! So sorry I can't participate this year. My health as usual is my ultimate boss and she says, rest!
You may want to keep that Halloween creation of yours to keep an eye(s) on Tanner!-Luke Sidewalker
Spooky flowers, Mrs. B! And welcome back to the land of the walking. *~_^*
OOOOh… I love the spooky flowers! THose are awesome
Glad you're on the mend!
ohhh sign up by the 15th, I thought it was submit your article by the 15th! cool, I still have a few days hahaha!
That is one creepy plant! I love it!!How fun to see your husband's work on the VMA's! You must be very proud:) Glad your feeling better:)
Those eyeball flowers are so cool! It stinks about the strep, I'm scared of getting sick. Usually I wouldn't be worried about it, but this year I have to be in a kitchen. Wouldn't want to have to miss class time due to being sick!
Glad you're feeling better! Now … I'm off to tend to that extra entry … and sip coffee until the light is suitable for photo taking!
(my word verification is "strap" … one letter off of strep – so get well soon to the son as well!)
Ack! Not the strep! But I am glad that you are doing better. Looking forward to the 31 Days of Halloween. Tomorrow I need to shop, and I'm already tempted by all the Halloween goodies for my home…
Oh well, I HAD to join this extra chance! LOL actually Samhaim is in April here in the Southern Hemisphere, and I plan to make spooky handcrafts with Lucas at home, since unfortunately Halloween is not a tradition in Brazil!Kisses!
And how cool is that bunch of spooky flowers? Thank you, now Lucas wants to make them too!
I watched the VMA's last night(late I know but I had to watch True Blood) and that's cool your DH worked on that!!love the eyeball flowers!
I'm glad you're up and about. As for the strep…eek!!! Hopefully he's feeling better soon.I did watch the VMA's…but I'll have to watch again, I'm not totally positive what you're referring to. And they certainly show it over and over again. LOLIs it cheesy to say I hope I win? Muahahahaha!
BTW, I think I added my 'Halloween plans' to the wrong entry. LOL Typical Boo. Hopefully it will still count. Totally 'diggin' the plant.
