Yep, I’m asking again, lol! Our family friend, Mickey Fox, has a new video up in his quest to be one of the musicians who get to record on Tommy Lee’s new album.
Comments on the videos help get him noticed. There’s no registration, no fuss, no muss. Frankly, you don’t even HAVE to watch the video – just leave a generic message of support! Honestly, though, you need to watch the video, though. This kid is off the hook (Is that term out of date these days? Ah well.). He comes from a family full of musicians and hard working folks. A great kid, I wish I could tell you how great!
And for the younger set who reads this, he’s not exactly hard to watch, if you know what I mean (insert dirty-middle-aged -lady eyebrow wiggle here).
So please leave a comment. And thanks to everyone who commented on the last video I posted about! Every single comment was much appreciated by me and by Mickey.
On another note:
If you follow my Facebook Page, you might have heard last night that my middle guy came home with a quickly swelling, turning all the colors of the rainbow arm last night. I gathered him up and took him to the doctor for an x-ray (thankfully the doctor’s office we go to does x-rays and we didn’t have to go to the emergency room and wait all night!). Turns out that it’s not broken, just horrendously bruised and sore.
The best part of this story, though, is how it happened: He and his friend were out playing and found a tree with a rope connected to it. They took an old handlebar from a bike, tied it to the end of the string, and were taking turns jumping out of the tree and swinging out into the air! Sadly, it was a little rainy out yesterday, and my son’s hands slipped and off he went!
To all you mom’s of little boys, this is what you have to look forward to, lol!! Boys will be boys, and by all means they should be out playing and having adventures, just like this one. I’m grateful that with all his issues, that he is still able to have good friends and the ability to go and do dumb boy stuff :O)
Have a great weekend!!

rockin'!
Oh my gosh, your son. How awful!!! I'm so glad it wasn't broken though.
Oh gods!Boys are so clumsy and challenging!! LOL Sigh, that's what my future will bring for me… Thank the gods it wasn't nothing than a bad-bruised arm!I have already watched the video, and Mickey really rocks! I trid to leave a coment but my computer acted weirdly. I'll ty again later!Kisses from us.
I watched the video, you're right, he is good! I'm glad he's okay! Kids do this kind of stuff.
Glad to hear the little man is ok. =) Sad for the scare!
My grandson fell off his bunk bed onto his face (emergency room) on a Monday, Friday he fell off again (emergency room) and broke his wrist. I'm telling ya a 5 yr old in a full arm cast is not a fun 6 week experience. Needless to say……he no longer has bunk beds and did make it until his next birthday. Boys, ya can't control 'um and most are too tough to use at Thanksgiving poor little turkeys. Gotta love um. And as to this young man's drumming, I love his intense spirit. Thanks, I enjoyed watching the video, but then you always have something "a happening" at your blog. Linda in New Mexico
Thanks Mrs. B – I love your style. YES! to gratitude for the things that kids doing JUST BEING KIDS! My sentiments exactly! Let kids be kids and do those dumb innocent things they do. Girls on monkey bars, boys and trees!
Glad to hear he's okay. And yes, isn't it nice when a child with special needs shows that he's a child first and foremost? When my deaf 9yo son said "What the f**k?" the other day, it was hard to get mad at him, because I know he heard that somewhere (not from me of course
).
I'm so glad your son is okay. My friends keep telling me to rethink wanting kids. Stories like this make me pause…but I still want them – Goddess help me!
Glad your son didn't break his arm. Hope it heals quickly and isn't in too much pain. My son is 7 now I hope I can survive him growing up. I think kids getting hurt usually hurts the parents more anyway.
Eeek! Glad it wasn't broken. Sounds painful. )O(boo
