Veneration of the Thorn

On May 4 the hawthorn tree is honored.  The hawthorn tree, sacred to the Goddess, is sometimes called the “whitethorn”.

Today is the day to honor bushes or trees that you hold sacred.  Tie a few pieces of yarn to the branches to show your devotion (and to leave a gift for nesting birds).
