What a crazy week it’s been! Kids went back to school for two days, then had a three day weekend. They are back today and tomorrow, then have a four day weekend for Rosh Hashana! Next week they’ll be back to school full time, and we can get into a real, regular routine. Thank goodness! With Miss M. and Middle Guy both in the same school this year (her first year in the middle school!), it’s been a bit of a transition for all. It’s been quite some time since 2 of the kids needed to be ready at the exact same time, lol!
In my garden this week, we’ve harvested all the mugwort we had left, got it dried and ready to use! I love that stuff, lol! This week, the rue, catnip and the last of the white sage will start coming out. Mr. B. is already starting to clear the beds out and get them ready for planting in the spring. This year we are going to winter over some of the herbs and hope that they will make it through the frigid wasteland of NJ winter.
On other fronts, It’s September and Mabon is getting closer all the time! Tomorrow is the New Moon for the month. The New Moon is time for new beginnings time to start new ventures, to look for a job or to attract new love! It’s also a good time for renewing love and romance with your partner. *insert eyebrow wiggle here*
The 22 is Mabon (Ostara if you are in the Southern Hemisphere) and the moon goes full within hours afterward! This will be the first time that’s happened since 1991 and won’t happen again until 2029. Time to get some serious Mabon/Full Moon magic on!
There are still spots open for the Haunted Blog Tour and for guest bloggers for The 31 Days of Halloween. If you haven’t signed up yet, get busy, lol!
And today is the last day to enter to win a 6 pack of tarts from Tempting Tarts! Sign up by noon to enter.
Hope you are off to a great start to this short week!

Hey, have you tried potting tips? My favorite herb grower here told me he had started doing it and, to my surprise, it worked like a charm. I've rooted lavender, stevia, sage, rose geranium, and crape myrtle just by sticking them in a yogurt cup filled with potting soil and putting them in a sunny window. I'm going to be rooting guys later on in the season, but it might be time for you to do it now.
This 31 days of Halloween are going to be great! can't wait
I love mugwort too.
Busy week here too, back to school for WitchyG but in the office for me. I only managed to keep my blog up and just catching up on my favourites today. Mugwort is my all-purpose herb for spellwork. If I am out of something usually a little mugwort will set it right. Really looking forward to the 31 Days of Halloween too! – Hugs and sparkles.
I'm looking forward to seeing your 31 days of Halloween. I'm a new follower so still getting into things here. My husband and I got married last year on October 31st. Not because it was Halloween but because we liked the date, but lots of people sure thought we were strange and a few even laughed at us when we told them the date!
