Mia Love, Utah Congressional Candidate

Okay.  I warned you that this blog would sometimes dip into political issues.  (As fascinated with politics as I am and always have been, as politically opinionated as I am, I’ve done relatively few political posts, thus far.)  So here’s a political item:

I’ve heard remarkably good things, from people who know her or have followed her and whose opinions I respect, about the mayor of Saratoga Springs, Utah, who is running for Utah’s new congressional seat.

Moreover, I frankly confess — though it comes uncomfortably close (for me) to tokenism — that the thought of Utah being represented in the United States House of Representatives by a black conservative Mormon woman strikes me as almost irresistibly attractive.

Here is a recent article about her.

And here is her campaign website.

Hi there, I think your blog could be having web browser compatibility problems. Whenever I look at your website in Safari, it looks fine however, when opening in IE, it’s got some overlapping issues. I just wanted to give you a quick heads up! Aside from that, excellent site!

Hmmmm. Thanks. I’ll try to bring that to the attention of the experts at Patheos.
