Okay. I warned you that this blog would sometimes dip into political issues. (As fascinated with politics as I am and always have been, as politically opinionated as I am, I’ve done relatively few political posts, thus far.) So here’s a political item:
I’ve heard remarkably good things, from people who know her or have followed her and whose opinions I respect, about the mayor of Saratoga Springs, Utah, who is running for Utah’s new congressional seat.
Moreover, I frankly confess — though it comes uncomfortably close (for me) to tokenism — that the thought of Utah being represented in the United States House of Representatives by a black conservative Mormon woman strikes me as almost irresistibly attractive.
