A Moment of Sheer Beauty

Actually, about three and a half minutes.

“O Sapientia,” by a flash mob of the BYU Singers.

Here are the words:

In Latin:

O Sapientia, quae ex ore Altissimi prodiisti,

attingens a fine usque ad finem.

fortiter suaviterque disponens omnia:

veni ad docendum nos viam prudentiae.

In English:

O Wisdom, coming forth from the mouth of the Most High,

reaching from one end to the other mightily,

and sweetly ordering all things:

Come and teach us the way of prudence.

Such moments are not, in my opinion, easily explained by simple, reductive, Darwinian materialism.

Lovely. And so good to see Dr Ronald Staheli once again leading the group. I met him briefly, years ago. A wonderful man who still does amazing work with the BYU Singers.
