Stephen Mansfield believes that the “Mormon moment” will last for more than a moment.  I’m inclined to agree with him in the sense he gives to the term.  The intensity brought about my Mitt Romney’s candidacy is already fading, which should hardly be a surprise.  But, as I’ve repeatedly said (including my recent interview with the New York Times), we’re unlikely to go back entirely to our prior obscurity and seeming marginalization.  (Hence, among other things, the relevance of such books as these.)
