“Move along, there’s nothing to see here.”

The reserved seating area in the courtroom of  a certain current criminal trial, set aside for representatives of the news media

A few days ago, I posted a link to an article complaining about the distinct lack of media interest in the trial of accused baby-killer Dr. Kermitt Gosnell.  At least one person showed up on my Facebook page in response, however, claiming that the liberal Democratic author of that article is a stooge of Fox News, and that the “media cover-up” — a term that I don’t think I actually used, and that doesn’t actually quite correspond to what I see as the problem — is a myth.

Question:  Was the photograph above taken at the trial of Jodi Arias, or at the trial of Kermitt Gosnell?  (See answer here.)

I admit I don’t follow the news as fully as I should, but it’s not like I’ve been living as a recluse in a cabin for the last few weeks. I can honestly say that I’d heard nothing about this. Both the case and its coverage, or lack thereof, are truly disgusting.

As a woman 7 months pregnant with a very WANTED baby, it’s difficult to not take this sort of thing personally.

The lacuna in news media coverage of the horrors of abortion is like the absence of the mistreatment of slaves in the Southern press during the slavery era. Some people can work themselves into a lather over the alleged threat to the survival of a whale or endangered salmon (which we still eat), but have no empathy for the millions of little children butchered by “doctors” who make their money by imposing pain and suffering on the most innocent among us. “The love of many shall wax cold.”
