Dan, I know this is off topic, but I was hoping I could ask you for advice. My wife is teaching humanities at the Salt Lake Community College. She is going to teach Islam next week and she is concerned about being overly critical of it. The course material has some selections from the Hadith (?) that are controversial and sexist. Do you have any suggestions for how to approach Islam in a one or two lecture setting?

I’d be happy to speak with her, if that would help. She’s welcome to drop me a line at daniel_peterson@byu.edu, and then we can, if she wants, work out a time to speak by telephone.

        Thanks, I’ll tell her.
