“Greeks apologize with huge horse”

“Greeks apologize with huge horse” July 7, 2015

Syntagma Square
The Greek Parliament Building in Athens
My wife and I once stayed in a hotel directly adjacent to Parliament there. Many of the windows were broken and there were burnt-out cars on the street. A few blocks away, a bank had recently been destroyed by arson, and some of its employees died in the fire. Just another day on the road to financial health and prosperity. It beats actually working and paying one’s debts, I suppose. (Is it appropriate that I’m posting from California?)

In the wake of Sunday’s elections in Greece and that nation’s massive default on its debts, this classic item from 2012 is worth reprising:

Thanks to Russell Spencer for reminding me of it.
