“Child sees angels bear President Monson up at General Conference”

Here’s a curious story, kindly brought to my attention by Doug Ealy

I didn’t see it.  But then, I didn’t see anything connected with it at all; I was in transit in New York City at the time, and was hearing only the audio.

Many, of course, will dismiss this child’s apparent account.  Some will mock and deride it.  (That’s what they do.)

I don’t know whether the account is accurate, or whether this really happened.  And I certainly understand how faith-promoting stories grow and spread.  But I don’t rule it out.  My view of the universe, though far from boundlessly credulous, permits such things.  In fact, it even expects them.  Not necessarily in every situation where they could occur, but, unexpectedly, from time to time.  They’re experiences of grace.  Tender mercies.
