We drove through Las Vegas today. Although, having lived for much of my life in both Utah and California and having family in both places, I once drove through Las Vegas a very great deal, it’s been several years since I’ve done that. I’ve flown into and out of the city several times in the meanwhile, but you see the city differently when you approach it by car from the north.
Judging by the billboards along I-15, I conclude that most of the residents of Las Vegas are injury lawyers who continually sue each other and everybody else over accidents that occur while city residents are commuting between adult video stores.
We took a quick detour while passing through the San Bernardino area to see the Redlands California Temple. Very beautiful grounds. I liked the spirit there considerably more than the one portrayed in those Vegas billboards
