Incidentally, I realize that it may seem to many of you that Br’er Smoot is omnipresent.  However, I assure you that he’s not.  He really does currently spend several months a year in Canada — which, for some of my critics out there who may be puzzled by the reference, is an alleged country located to the north of the United States.  (If you require evidence for this, just get in your car and travel northwards.  With any luck at all, if you’re persistent and remain on course, you stand a reasonably good chance of eventually encountering Canada for yourself.  Personally.  You’ll have no need of depending upon the testimony of anybody else.)
