We had a remarkable evening at the “Chiasmus Jubilee” on Wednesday night.  Interesting video presentations, wonderful music, and important remarks by Elder Kim B. Clark of the Seventy, who also serves as Church Commissioner of Education, and by Elder Jeffrey R. Holland of the Quorum of the Twelve, as well as by visiting scholars (including an Indian Jesuit).  Fortunately, the event was recorded, and it will eventually — and I think reasonably soon — be up on line.

A personal highlight for me was being able to present a new festschrift volume to Jack Welch: Paul Y. Hoskisson and Daniel C. Peterson, eds.,  “To Seek the Law of the Lord”: Essays in Honor of John W. Welch (Orem, UT: The Interpreter Foundation, 2017).

We printed a limited number of hardbound volumes for Jack, his family, the authors, certain libraries, and so forth.  By early next week — perhaps even on Monday — softbound editions will be available on a print-on-demand basis.  When they are ready, an announcement will go up on the Interpreter website (http://www.mormoninterpreter.com).  After a decent interval has elapsed, we plan to put the articles up online.
