Six Valentine’s Day gifts your husband actually wants

Six Valentine’s Day gifts your husband actually wants February 9, 2016

February 14 can come and go without much fanfare for the typical married couple, but don’t miss out on this opportunity to recharge your marriage! I know finding the right gift for your man on Valentine’s Day can be tough, so I’ve put together a list below to help you think of some new, man-approved gift suggestions.

These gifts would work just as well for birthdays and other holidays too.

Don’t buy your husband flowers or chocolates. He doesn’t need more Old Spice or another tie. If you want to make his day this Valentine’s Day, give him…

1. Sex.

Let’s face it, he’d much rather undress you than unwrap anything else! We’ve got a creative and practical way for you to give him his most memorable gift of the year. We’ve just released a new video series for married couples called “Best Sex Life Now which you can preview by clicking here. You can send this as a gift and add a personalized message. This is a Valentine’s Day gift that will make his day!

2. An experience WITH YOU centered around his favorite hobby or team.

If he’s into a certain sports team, plan a weekend trip to go see a game with him and explore the city together. Trust me, he’ll be blown away when he opens that gift! Even if you can’t afford to do it right now, plan it for later in the year, but let him “open it” on Valentine’s Day. He’ll look forward to it for months!

3. Something personalized (but not cheesy).

Men will usually hold onto a gift if it’s practical and personalized. A few years ago, my father-in-law got a small metal tub with “McCray’s Pub” (his last name) etched into it, and he proudly keeps it out on display at all times plus serves ice and drinks out of it every time guests are over.

4. Stuff that celebrates manhood.

Most guys feel like they’re got to put their testosterone on a shelf most days, so give him a gift to let his manliness come out! Whether he’s into tools, or YETI coolers, or guns, or Duck Dynasty, or sports, or growing a massive beard, or whatever else, give him a gift that shows him that you value what he likes and you celebrate his epic manliness.

5. Food!

It’s been said, “The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.” There’s some truth to that. I’m thinking about steak and donuts right now. If you want to go big this year, you could give your man a “Big Green Egg” or a new grill or you could go much less expensive by just making his favorite meal or get him a box of steaks. He’ll love it. Trust me.

6. A simple date night with you.

With any special day, the memories you’ll make together are more important than the gifts. Even if you end up on the couch watching Netflix and eating microwave popcorn, just enjoy the time together. The gifts will eventually end up in the trash, but the memories can last for a lifetime. Have fun this Valentine’s Day (and every day).
