Charlotte rioters are acting subhuman and the police need to deal with them more aggressively September 22, 2016

Seeing the footage of Charlotte, North Carolina, turned into a war zone by rioters protesting the officer-involved shooting looked more like something out of a third world country rather than something going on here in the USA.

I have the same reaction every time this happens in one of our great cities across this country: these Black LIES Matter folks prove themselves to be primitive in their behavior at best, and acting subhuman at worst.

They simply react to circumstances instead of relying on a human’s ability to think.

Their actions got so out of hand in Charlotte that innocent motorists were injured and their property damaged. There were 12 officers hurt, some hospitalized, and one got smashed in the head with a rock. Meanwhile, there were no casualties against the riot-makers, but that’s only due to how the officers handled the situation. Their orders to use restraint is going to end up getting more officers hurt and killed.

These riot-makers who are looting and engaging in criminal behavior need to be dealt with in an aggressive fashion. They have to be shown enough force — reasonable force — but enough force that will discourage this sort of behavior. Though teargas was used to disperse the crowd, it wasn’t enough because too many were still hanging around for far too long. Law enforcement officers know that you have to deal with these threats assertively. But you have to be aggressive in the early hours of the riots to discourage them from this behavior or else you’ll see innocent motorists getting caught up in the mayhem. Job one is always to protect life and property; to use all reasonable force, not minimal force, not de-escalate, but all reasonable force and keep turning it up until you get these riot-starters to disperse from the area and behave in a more human fashion.

Our officers have to deal with these tree stumps, folks who haven’t thought anything through. Anger and rage trump facts and the politics of the day have blinded them. This is the Ferguson model; we’ve seen it before. Anarchists are exploiting these poor people in the urban ghettos, recruiting them to be the riot starters. Police commanders need only to look back to the war on cops in the 1960s and see a similar pattern. If like back then, they are too soft in the early stages of a riot, there will be more casualties and injuries than necessary.
