American ghetto of Chicago has 1,000 more shooting victims this year than last October 19, 2016

Chicago is one of many ghetto hellholes across America and coming off a weekend where eight people were killed and at least 40 wounded, the Windy City has surpassed last year’s shooting victim rate by an astonishing 1,000 people.

The Chicago Tribune breaks the numbers down like this: 3,475 people shot by midnight on Monday compared with 2,441 people last year. That’s nearly 600 homicides — a total of 186 more than this time last year.

The report states:

The gun violence over the weekend was at levels usually seen in the summer when shootings typically spike.

A single attack Friday night in East Garfield Park killed one man and left six others wounded, according to police. The people were standing together in the 3300 block of West Maypole Street when someone opened fire from a black vehicle, police said.

An attack of that scale has not occurred in Chicago since 2014, when seven people — including several young teens — were shot in Lawndale.

And that’s not all. A half hour before that shooting, according to the Tribune, two men died in a drive-by, and an 18-year-old was killed an hour before that. The violence happened on nearly every corner of the city over the weekend, the paper adds.

But that’s Chicago for you; a city ruled by Democrats and progressive policies that do nothing but encourage this behavior and fails to protect citizens. It’s time some real hope and change came to the city because so far, everything has failed.
