Beck’s Moonie Extravaganza Aimed at Children

For months Glenn Beck has been promoting his upcoming three day 4th of July moon man extravaganza. On a recent show he said that “”your children will never forget the moment the moon spoke” and that he plans to “engrave these things on to your child’s heart so they never forget.” Well as long as you’re being humble about this.

“The moment the moon spoke?” You mean he’ll be talking out of his arse, as usual?

Yep, that is a nice bouquet of internets you just won.

your children will never forget the moment the moon spoke

engrave these things on to your child’s heart so they never forget

Ah, you mean it’s one of those things they’ll have to spend thousands of dollars in therapy in order to forget ?

From Glenn Beck’s Man in the Moon website regarding this three-day long event:

At times, it will seem to defy logic.

Oh I’m confident this presentation won’t just seem to defy logic.

    I loved the concluding paragraph:

This whole show is about magic and hope…light and dark…family and God…history and the future. It’s a story of struggle and triumph, good and evil, and simple people finding a better way. It’s about what millions of Americans want: Hope, and to believe in goodness and our country again. Make a new American Memory with your family that none of you will ever forget. Believe In America…believe in us again! Remember, as long as you buy your ticket, you’ll get to say that you were there to see Glenn Beck’s Man In The Moon!

I read this as Glenn Beck exploiting his target demographic’s hope we won’t have any more uppity black people governing us. And the covert admonition we blindly submit to conservative authoritarians to continue to create a society of a few plutocrats exploiting the rest of us, which only the delusional can’t observe since Beck’s so blatant about it.

Glenn Beck is a primary illustration of Karl Marx’s assertion that religion is the opiate of the masses, where Beck is a king-pin dealer.

I was confused for a moment when reading the title, since my first thought was, “But I thought that Beck was a Mormon, not a Moonie.”

“engrave these things on to your child’s heart so they never forget.”

Am I the only one to whom this sounds creepy? Makes me think of the Gang of Four song, but at least Gang of Four can rock.

    Worst Fourth of July ever.

Hopefully, he will elaborate on his “Tide goes in, tide goes out, nobody can explain that” conspiracy theory.

your children will never forget the moment the moon spoke” and that he plans to “engrave these things on to your child’s heart so they never forget.”

Michael Jackson had a similar spiel for parents when he picked up the kids for their first visit to the Neverland Ranch.

  • grumpyoldfart

    – a three day event that will never be forgotten

    – bring the children unto me

    – this will change your life

    – we are running out of time

Where does he get these ideas?

    Larry #9, that was O’Really.

J’buss H., but this clown is a creepy fuck! I mean he couldn’t possibly have that much of an audience, but since he’s holding his moon seance in S.L.C., lot’s of moormans will come, which I understand he is one of those shit – for – brains. Yet how many are going to drive from K.C., or Lubbock, or Boise to see this wack-a-loon’s moon speak or be a part of his three day wing ding??? Hey! I’d walk across the street to mictirate in his shoes!!!

    No you are not.

Sounds like something a Thomas Ligotti character might say.

4th of July? that’ll be 4 days before the new moon (07:14:53UT 8 July 2013).

    Is Bek’s power like-wise waning?

PS Concerning Mr Bek (aka Moonman) and children. Remember the rumours of his 1980’s exploits.

Won’t someone think of the children!?!

The more I read about this, the more it sounds like Beck is going to be handing out magic mushrooms to the kids.

  • TxSkeptic

There should be serious concern for the psychological health of the kids drug off to this event. Indoctrination, brainwashing, whatever you want to call it – Beck is right, 3 days is all it takes. I wont be surprised at all when these kids honestly think that the moon literally spoke to them. This will be Beck’s own crazy version of Jesus Camp.

I’m wit dingojack @15. What’s to keep Glennie Bek and his army of unnamed, unindicted reptilico-conspirators from “skimming” the crowd and doing a “lather, rinse, repeat.” of the alleged kidnappings, rapes, murders and cannibalizations of the 1990’s? Oh, the HUMANITY!
