Wiles, Tancredo Speak Out Against Satan

Rick Wiles and Tom Tancredo did their best impersonation of Dana Carvey’s Church Lady on Wiles’ radio show, declaring that Satan is at the core of our government and that America must “turn back to God” to make things right again.

Tancredo: If this nation returned to God, if some crisis did occur that caused people to turn to God and not to government, we’ve got a chance under that scenario.

Wiles: That’s really where it’s coming down to, isn’t it?

Tancredo: Yes it is. Yes it is.

Wiles: We’re going into a situation that the people are going to have to chose who is their god.

Tancredo: Yes, God or Government. Boy, no kidding!

Wiles: That’s really what it’s coming down to.

Tancredo: Yeah, what’s the big “G” in your life?…

Wiles: Whatever you want to call this group of this secret government, whoever is running, with the power, what they’ve said to the American people … It’s really, at the core of it, it’s Satan. I mean, He’s working through his people on earth just as God works through people.

But literally what has been said to the American people is we will allow you to enjoy your sins – in fact, we will legalize your sins, we’ll protect your sins, we’ll encourage you to sin. In return, you give us your freedom.

Tancredo: Yeah.

Yeah, man, yeah. Totally.

When you start looking carefully, you realize that these people are basically convinced that Satan has God outgunned at every turn.

These guys presumably are on God’s side. That makes Satan all the more attractive.

Fortunately, I can choose a third alternative–government is awful, but it actually exists…

Talk about a moronic but predictable false dilemma. We can choose from numerous other gods or we can choose none. As for governments, we just see them as one more human collective that should be dealt with in human terms.

Why does it always come down to who we choose as Americans? Why can’t God just tell Satan to fuck off and be done with it?

    God is omnipotent, right?

Obviously all those other gods (or no god at all) are all Satan. So it’s not really a false dilemma by those terms. You know, the stupid terms.

    God or Government

I’m reminded of a cartoon in Private Eye, two bankers sit puffing on cigars.

“Remember the 70’s slogan ‘who runs Britain, the government or the unions’, now we know the answer”

    “Yes, neither it’s us”

One wonders which sin to which they are referring. After all, the sins of heresy and blasphemy were enshrined into our Constitution in 1791; the sin of divorce predates even that (according to the intertubes, the first recorded American divorce was in the 1640s) and the sin of gluttony has been celebrated at least since the Gilded Age of the late 19th century. Oh, I forgot, the only real sin is TEH GAY (with women being equal and having bodily control a close second).

people are going to have to chose who is their god

Well, to be fair, the Obamacare health insurance exchanges have not been fully established yet, so it’s prudent for people to defer their selection just yet. You don’t want to choose a god and then find out that he’s not going to cover you for certain sins.

Le Dieu se marche avec les gros battalions. Sounds like Satan has the big battalions.

Holy Christ in a Big Bachelor Cake, is this some double-speak: “The government encourages the Sin of Teh Ghey by giving Teh Ebil Gheys the right to marry, and that totes results in giving up your freedom.”

The very audacity of their lies makes me mad enough to spit cobra venom.

    Here’s a hint, guys. It’s a particular spot.

Oh hell, what’s the point, those clowns never read their Bibles.

Satan left government as soon as Tancredo retired.

Hmmm…. Satan runs the government and the economy while Jesus makes blurry pictures of himself appear on toast and potato chips.

Seems to me that someone has his priorites wrong.
