Doocy: Iran Deal a Distraction From Obamacare

Steve Doocy of Fox and Friends, who really is the dumbest man on television (his only real competition comes from his co-host, Brian Kilmeade), suggested on the show on Monday that the newly announced deal with Iran and several other countries was an attempt to distract attention from the Obamacare website problems.

“Don’t you think it’s a little curious– you know, some of my friends were talking over the weekend, ‘Oh, isn’t that curious timing?” Steve Doocy began. “Out of nowhere in the midst of Obamacare not unrolling correctly, the president’s poll numbers never been lower, then look, [Secretary of State] John Kerry pulls a rabbit out of his hat and changes the subject.”

“Yes,” Baier replied. “It is questionable timing.”

“However, they had been working on the deal for a while and it did come together at this time,” the Fox anchor continued. “I mean, they unrolled it at this point.”

“It’s handy for them,” Doocy observed.

“It is handy for them,” Baier agreed. “Let’s just put it that way.”

Yes, of course. They managed to get Iran and all the other major powers, including rivals China and Russia, to reach an agreement just for that purpose. At this point Obama could drop dead of a heart attack and Fox News would declare it an attempt to distract attention from (fill in the blank — Obamacare, Benghazi, etc).

"Public schools — in Murka? Betsy DeVos will have something to say about that."

  • It’s times like this that make me wonder if wingnuts are incapable of grasping that some things involve multiple parties. Deals happen when a consensus is reached, not when one person declares it. It fits with that spin on the story about Obama playing cards in the situation room. People of normal intelligence should be able to understand that a leader can’t inherently make things happen faster in the field just by working harder. Wingnuts, however, seem to think of Obama as a godlike figure who can will things to happen for his convenience.

  • Admittedly, for the people who think that everyone outside of the US are all pinko commie socialist Muslim-lovers, it might all make sense. Sort of.

  • Bronze Dog “Wingnuts, however, seem to think of Obama as a godlike figure who can will things to happen for his convenience.”

To be fair he’s also incompetent and lazy and can’t do anything right.

And Obamacare was made law in 2009 to distract us from Benghazi.

Sadly this idiot was just parroting a tweet by texas senator John cornyn,

Just when you think texas politicians can’t sink any lower, they go there.

  • Michael Heath,, and David Limbaugh, Rush’s dumber brother (yes it’s possible), are also running with this idiocy.

Obama had to try something else since the Rob Ford Plan wasn’t a complete success.

Oh, I thought the problems with the launch of Obamacare were intended as a distraction from the Iran deal.

I’ve just discovered that Bill Kristol hates the Iran deal. That’s the bellwether — the deal is clearly OK.
